Let Love Remain

By ravengirl434 on Tuesday, July 27, 2010

I was thinking someone could do a design where it was clear that hate was overpowering love, but that those involved wished that their love could have remained instead. If you don't like this idea, please feel free to be otherwise inspired by the title.

Peace in Pie Charts

By CitricLampshade on Sunday, June 6, 2010

I thought someone could make some sort of inspirational pie chart with 4 sections so that it makes a peace sign.

Children's Literacy

By Tricky on Monday, March 15, 2010

The Bstar Project is a volunteer organization that supports children of families in transitional housing. We would like to see designs that encourage the literacy development of children, the encouragement of imagination through reading.... we currently are working on donating children's books to a family shelter in the bay area and would like to see what kind of design can capture this type of charity. -Tricia, The Bstar Project

Health care

By manel on Monday, March 1, 2010

We are a group of doctors who are planning a march along with other health care professionals and community folks for health care reform. I want to design a few t-shirts for a march we're having on March 22: http://www.healthmarch.org/. A few ideas I had: For the doctors, I was thinking of something that had the "Trust me, I'm a doctor, and I support health care reform". The other 2 I like are "Health care is a human right, not a privilege" and "People over profits". But these are more sayings than they are designs. We would LOVE to have some help designing these t-shirts. Any ideas are welcome!
Thanks everyone!

By Lisa on Monday, September 14, 2009

I'm not exactly sure how this should look; maybe a bunch of people all on their phones doing activities together??

Be The Change Day 2009

By stayhappy on Friday, August 14, 2009

Hello Fellow Goodjoes!

Just a friendly reminder that October 03, 2009 is officially "Be The Change" day. The day will be here before you know it, so sign up for a project, grab some friends and have fun making a difference :)

"You must be the change you want to see in the world."
- Mahatma Gandhi

On Be The Change Day, 1000 - 1500 volunteers will step forward to be the change they seek in their community. At 24 exciting project sites across the Bay Area, volunteers will renovate public schools, revitalize our local parks, and lend a hand to the many low-income and homeless families that are part of our community.

Check out this link for more information:

Oh and keep in mind that every day is really a day to
"Be the Change" and you don't have to live in the Bay Area :)

Help, please!

By cookiescookiescookies on Thursday, August 13, 2009

Hello! I have an idea for a shirt, but I just can't seem to get it to look right when I draw it. I am anything but a professional artist and I have been having some problems with the programs that were offered. I was wondering how so many other designers get their shirts to be so perfect! If someone would be so kind as to help me figure out the design programs, I would be most grateful. Thank you!

Yarn

By Periwinkle on Sunday, June 28, 2009

I've been working on a simple design. I really like the idea but I need your opinion about a couple things.

The idea is that there's a ball of yarn; it's just beginning to unravel (enough to trail across a t-shirt, but not so much that the ball is practically gone). The ball of yarn has the continents on it--it's the earth.

My questions:
1. To you, would it make more sense if the unraveling earth represented time passing and the earth spinning (i.e. the natural way of things), or the idea that we are pulling this world apart with our dissent and pollution and whatnot?
2. Should the yarn under the surface be another color (brown or red) to represent the core of the earth, or should it be blue and green all the way through?
3. Would you wear it?

Good Morning!

By Periwinkle on Tuesday, June 23, 2009

I have no idea how to go about this, but I have a little idea.
I see a person looking up at the sun with an absolutely delighted, happy-go-lucky expression, with or without the text "Good Morning!"
It's awfully simple, terribly sweet and may not be that great, but it's an idea.

what is life?

By nathanTpham on Sunday, May 17, 2009

here is an idea for a shirt: (in stylized text or visual artwork.

let's say average life expectancy is about 75 years (or 3912.75 weeks) , average sleep time is about 8 hours a day, work about 8 hours a day (or 40 hours/week), commute time is about 1.5 hour (10.5 hours/week), and eating and misc would be 2 hours (14 hours/week). so you would only have about ...

3912.75 weeks avg life
- 931.60 weeks of sleep
- 931.60 weeks of work
- 244.55 weeks of commuting
- 326.06 weeks of eating and misc.

= 1478.94 weeks left...start counting where you are. ;O)

...
i hope people don't look at this on the pessimistic way. i'd like to borrow the Half Full Wins design by TheInfinityLoop to encourage you all to look at these numbers on the brighter side.

NOW! if someone can put this into a design that is thought provoking. i'd buy you a cup of coffee. and if the design wins, the $300 (+ $200 for student) will be all yours. all I will ask back is to buy me a cup of coffee. ;O)

cheers to tomorrow!
nathan.

parents

By nathanTpham on Friday, May 1, 2009

since Mother's day is coming... can some of you come up with some designs that dedicated to Mothers and how much sacrifice they have done for us, whether we know it or not. make it humorous. ;o)

Stay Alert!

By Trevor Watts on Wednesday, April 15, 2009

I've been thinking for forever, and I can't come up with an idea that would work with the phrase "Stay Alert!" I thought about doing something like a hunter in the forest looking the opposite direction through his rifle scope while a deer 5 feet behind him is eating out of his lunch box. Would anybody wear that? What are your guys' thoughts?

Firefighters

By Jourdan on Monday, April 13, 2009

Some sort of scene with firefighters and kids. Kids looking up to the firefighters as roll models. Who didn’t dream of being a fireman growing up?

Gingerbread House

By Jourdan on Monday, April 13, 2009

I know it’s a little early for the winter holidays, but I was thinking about an environmentally friendly gingerbread house. Maybe some solar panels on the roof and a candy cane flagpole with a windmill on the top. Teach kids early on about ways to have a positive impact on the environment.

Alternative Modes of Transportation

By Jourdan on Monday, April 13, 2009

I had this idea of a guy walking out the front door of his house and opening the garage. Inside there’d be a row of transportation options lined up that he could choose from. Maybe a bicycle, skateboard, scooter, Segway Personal Transporter, or even a horse, etc. He'd be thinking, "hum, which one should I take to work today." Off in the background would be a dusty old car which hasn’t been used in ages. The theme would be that cars are a thing of the past and today everyone uses clean energy alternatives to gas and diesel.

The People Pyramid

By Jourdan on Monday, April 13, 2009

I'm sure you've heard of the food pyramid. You know, the healthy foods that make up a balanced diet? How about making a people pyramid of the important individuals that affect our future and inspire us such as parents, teachers, doctors, friends, etc. You decide who's the most important and how much they're needed in a child's growth and development.
