About Girls For A ChangeGirls For A Change (GFC) is the only national non-profit that provides after-school programming for girls ages 11-19 in creating girl-led social change in their own communities. We provide trained volunteer coaches and curriculum to support girls in deciding what is wrong in their community and designing a social change project to combat that issue’s root cause. Through our programs, girls learn leadership, problem-solving, failure recovery, public speaking, and critical thinking skills that last them a lifetime. GFC programs are evaluated for effectiveness and are incorporate cutting edge skill development techniques, complementing existing school or community programs through partnership.
Our MissionGFC empowers girls for personal and social transformation. The program inspires girls to have the voice, ability and problem solving capacity to speak up, be decision makers, create visionary change and realize their full potential.

We hope to find an icon that recognizes and supports men who support women and girls’ rights, doing so in a non-sexual way (save the ta-tas, real men don’t buy girls etc. are great messages, but we want this to be more than just a pun on the sexual relationships between women and men).
